Lauren’s debut memoir Triple Helix (UQP 2022) explores the seminal mystery of donor conception from the perspective of a human being created by an industry that is growing ever larger, global and more commercialised.

In conversation with writers and historians Clare Wright and Yves Rees on their podcast Archive Fever, Lauren discusses how to move forward when you hit the research brick wall again and again, and what to do if your greatest archive is your own DNA.

Lauren has appeared extensively across print, radio and television media including The Guardian, Fairfax newspapers, ABC’s The Drum, SBS’s Insight and ABC Radio’s Law Report. Seven years after first profiling Lauren, Australian Story aired an update to her story, In the Name of the Child’.

Lauren has a Ph.D in Aerospace Engineering and has worked globally in high-impact start-up companies designing zero emissions electric aircraft.
